Secluded in the majestic Witteberg Mountains of the Eastern Free State of South Africa, Moolmanshoek’s legacy spans centuries, from its early beginnings to the thriving conservation area it is today. The reserve covers an area of 3300 hectares and is a Natural Heritage site (No 199).
Moolmanshoek offers diverse experiences, from unforgettable horseback adventures to tasteful accommodations, a spectacular wedding venue and serene mountain trails, encompassing 3300 hectares of open sky inspiration.
As a Natural Heritage Site, the Moolmanshoek landscape consists of endless green pastures and mountain streams cascading down rock faces, forming natural plunge pools. Wildlife thrives in this area, providing guests with opportunities to spot eland, black wildebeest, springbok, ostrich, zebra, warthog, porcupine, jackal, caracal, serval and more.
For nature lovers, Moolmanshoek offers stunning views from Visierskerf, Sekonjella’s Hoed, or the Pyramid mountains, which can be explored through epic hikes, trail runs or horseback expeditions.

- Conditions: Cardholder, ID/Passport is required at check-in. The credit card used for the online deposit must be present at check-in. We reserve the right to not refund bank costs upon cancellation for credit card bookings, as the bank does not credit initial deduction costs. LODGE guests only. DRINKS: WE ARE FULLY LICENSED. NOT ALLOWED TO BRING OWN ALCOHOL. CORKAGE WILL BE CHARGED ON OWN WINE FROM R70/BOTTLE. Check in time : 14h00. Check out time strictly : 10h00. Sunday: Activities done before breakfast. No pets allowed. CHILDREN - We do accommodate children. Mattress in room for children. Suite 2,3,4,8,13 is suitable for parents and a child on a mattress. Children under 2 years have complimentary accommodation with own camping cot, pay for meals. Children 3-11 years pay from R450 including B & B, pay extra for meals. Parents & children are asked to consider other guests regarding noise factors.

- If cancelling 15 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit. If cancelling 29 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit. If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
