The Karoo, from a Khoikhoi word, possibly garo “desert” is a semi-desert natural region of South Africa. There is no exact definition of what constitutes the Karoo, and therefore its extent is also not precisely defined. The Karoo is partly defined by its topography, geology and climate — above all, its low rainfall, arid air, cloudless skies, and extremes of heat and cold. The Karoo also hosted a well-preserved ecosystem hundreds of million years ago which is now represented by many fossils.
Two great guesthouses, two different locations, we have got Prince Albert covered for you. Bookings can be made here for both. Karoo View Cottages with it’s magnificent views of the Swartberg Mountains and Karoo Masterclass set in the peaceful southern end of the town with it’s own unique view of the mountains.

- Trigger shower and Grab rails next to the toilet (For Wheelchair friendly units)
- Tiled en-suite bathroom with either oversize shower with grab rail and additional hand held shower mixer or bath, including bath sheets, hand towels and bath robes of an excellent quality, extra absorbent and fluffy, hair dryer, shaver point, wall heater, trigger shower and natural bathroom amenities and emergency pack of goodies.

- If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
