Wilderness Manor is centrally located to explore the lakes area and nearby Garden Route towns like George, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Mossel Bay, as well as Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo.
All rooms have an en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower, double hand basins and heated towel rails, tea and coffee tray, mini bar fridge, in-room safe, are non smoking, hair dryer, fan, heater, magazines and a TV with selected DStv channels
Other services available are laundry services, a turn-down service on request, fax and photocopying facilities, wireless connectivity. Airport transfer is available on request at a fee.

Set between the Kaaimans River and the Goukamma Nature Reserve, and nestled between the Outeniqua Mountains and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, Wilderness’ surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. Nature has blessed Wilderness with a pleasant temperate climate all year round with temperatures hardly ever dropping below 8°C.
Wilderness is home to many types of wildlife, in particular birds. Many types of water birds breed here, making it an ideal destination for bird watchers. Wilderness is an eco-tourist’s paradise with nature showing off its best.
Wilderness is an exciting playground for both young and old. Explore the area by walking on endless beaches or hiking through breathtaking natural forests. Canoeing up the winding Touw River or mountain biking on little byroads and exploring the area. Driving through scenic mountain passes to the Karoo or taking a leisurely ride on the Power Van from the Outeniqua Railway Museum into the mountains. Sadly, the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe steam train does not operate any more. Playing golf at excellent golf courses, all within an hour’s drive from Wilderness. Enjoy watching dolphins and whales frolicking in the ocean or relaxing and sunning oneself on the beautiful Wilderness beaches (umbrellas and towels available) Another great viewpoint is Dolphin Point which gives a magnificent view of the Wilderness coastline and ocean. It was named after the number of dolphins which can be spotted from here on a regular basis, as well as whales during the winter months in their breeding season. The Map of Africa viewpoint offers fantastic views of the Kaaimans River Valley.
